CoRISE

Turn complex technology into systems and products built to last.

Everyday workflows, the knowledge accumulated through them, distributed data, existing systems, and new technologies.
The real challenge is understanding them, connecting them, and turning them into systems that keep working reliably over time.

CoRISE combines expertise in software architecture, AI, infrastructure, networks, security, and operations to turn loosely defined workflows and ideas into systems that people use and teams can operate over time.

From clarifying the problem through design, development, and integration to production operations, we consider the whole system—not just individual parts.

From early ideas to systems that keep running.

We understand the problem, clarify requirements, design, build, and connect with existing systems.

We validate each step as we shape the solution into a stable production system that teams can operate reliably.

Understand the problem, design, build, integrate, and operate. Step by step, we turn ideas into systems that remain useful in production.
How we work →

The results—and the decisions behind them.

We document the challenges we faced, the constraints we worked within, the designs and technologies we chose, and the results we achieved, while respecting client confidentiality.

Explaining not only what we built, but why we made those choices, is part of our engineering practice.

CASE / 01

Auth Platform PoC with Formal Verification

Challenge
Develop an authentication and authorization PoC that combines implementation with formal verification.
Constraints
The client led toolchain selection and foundational design; CoRISE contributed within that framework.
Approach
Contributed to Rust implementation, proof work and model checking under the client’s technical direction.
Architecture
Project Everest outputs, Rust implementation, Kani model checking and Tamarin protocol verification.
Contribution
Implementation and verification collaboration at the PoC stage, with claims scoped to the properties and assumptions examined.
  • Project Everest
  • Rust
  • Kani
  • Tamarin
CASE / 02

New SaaS Product Development

Challenge
A new SaaS idea needed a path from value hypothesis to working software.
Constraints
Connect requirements, application architecture, infrastructure, and PoC operation.
Approach
Worked with the client and product manager on the hypothesis, UX and specifications, then delivered the application and PoC environment.
Architecture
React and FastAPI with Nix, Docker, GitHub Actions, OpenTofu and AWS ECS / Fargate.
Contribution
CoRISE scope spanned product definition, full-scratch development, deployment, and PoC operation.
  • React
  • FastAPI
  • OpenTofu
  • GitHub Actions
  • Nix
  • Docker
  • AWS ECS / Fargate
CASE / 03

From Legacy Monitoring to an Observability Platform

Challenge
A long-running host-centered monitoring environment needed to follow changing systems.
Constraints
Lifecycle work included stateful cluster components such as etcd and middleware.
Approach
Progressively migrated legacy monitoring to a declaratively managed observability platform.
Architecture
Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, Vector, Loki and OpenTelemetry on self-hosted Kubernetes with NixOS.
Contribution
The engagement covered upgrades, middleware lifecycle, and monitoring of the observability platform itself.
  • Prometheus
  • Thanos
  • Grafana
  • Vector
  • Loki
  • OpenTelemetry
  • Alertmanager
  • Kubernetes
  • NixOS
  • etcd

Incident-Driven Zero Trust Infrastructure

Challenge
Ransomware affected file and virtual servers in an environment with broad internal trust.
Constraints
Investigation and network redesign had to account for a live operating environment.
Approach
Connected containment and forensic investigation to identity, network, virtualization, backup and vulnerability management redesign.
Architecture
Cloudflare Zero Trust, Entra ID Conditional Access, VLAN inspection, Incus and S3 Object Lock.
Contribution
Designed for explicit access, damage containment, protected recovery and continuous risk assessment.
  • Cloudflare Zero Trust
  • Entra ID
  • VLAN
  • Incus
  • S3 Object Lock
  • Vulnerability Management

Modernizing Legacy APIs into a Web Application Platform

Challenge
Valuable external data was accessible through Windows COM and proprietary interfaces.
Constraints
The external service could not be rewritten; Windows and COM dependencies needed an explicit boundary.
Approach
Used the technical advisor’s existing F# adapter and REST technology to build and integrate a customer-facing React application.
Architecture
COM → F# Adapter → Typed Domain Model → REST API → React / TypeScript.
Contribution
Preserved the existing service while enabling browser access and future clients through a reusable API boundary.
  • COM
  • F#
  • REST / HTTP / JSON
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Anti-Corruption Layer
